bike Education FAQ

How do I sign up for Adult classes?

Visit our Adult webpage here.

I don’t have a bike or a helmet. Are they provided?

Our Education Centers are equipped with loaner bikes and helmets for our adult classes. However, our Bike Skills 101: Learn to Ride – Kids class requires that your child bring their own properly fitting bike and helmet to participate.

How do I sign up a child for a Learn to Ride Kids class?

Visit our Youth webpage here.

How do I cancel a class?

To cancel a class you’ve already signed up for, go to our registration system website, click the “My Info” Tab, select “My schedule”, and click “Cancel”. If you know you can’t make a class, please cancel as soon as you can so that someone else has the opportunity.

I don’t see a Sign Up button next to the class I want. What do I do?

This means that the class is full. To be placed on a waitlist, visit the class’s page on our registration website, click “Sign Up!”, and then select “Yes, add me to the waitlist”. You will receive an email notification if a spot in the class becomes available.

Where is the class located?

Please visit our Education Center webpage. Click on the hyperlinked title of our Education Center to see the exact location on a google map.

How do I register more than one child for a class?

Each child must have their own account. Please use a different email address for each account.

An error message appears when I try to register my child for a Learn to Ride Kids class. What's happening?

If you receive a message beginning with, “This class has a reservation prerequisite that isn’t reflected in your information at Bike New York,” then you may have registered your account under your name and your date of birth. Please create an account under your child’s name and date of birth.

How can my child participate in your Summer or After School Programs?

Our free Summer and After School Programs are only open to existing youth organizations. If your child’s school or youth organization is interested, contact them directly about signing up.

Where do I park my car?

Our Community Bike Education Centers are in public spaces, so, generally, street parking is available.

Where do I put my credit card information?

Our classes are free! Our Bike Maintenance for Beginners is the only class with a fee, and if you’re signing up for that you’ll be prompted to enter payment details.

How do I give you feedback?
