From small-scale local rides to the world’s biggest charitable bike ride, there’s something for everyone—and the best part about it is that all proceeds from Bike New York events fund our free bike education programs.

May 1 – 31, 2021

Your bike takes you places. This May, be amazed by how far you’ll go together.

MILLION MILE MAY, Bike New York’s latest virtual cycling challenge, is a free Bike Month event open to riders of all stripes and skill levels, no matter where or how you ride. Our goal: Let’s pedal 1,000,000 miles in 31 days to support accessible public bike education… and have a whole lot of fun along the way!

October 1 – 31, 2021

If “magic hour” was a month, it’d be October. That’s why we’re bringing you Spoketober—our very own celebration of the freedom, fun, and exhilaration of cycling—in the heart of autumn. We’re challenging you to take daily rides through the 31 days of October. The more you pedal, the closer you get to winning awesome prizes and earning exclusive fundraising rewards. The best part: your October cycling journey powers free, accessible public bike education programming.

The 2021 Annual TD Five Boro Bike Tour was originally scheduled for Sunday, May 2, 2021. We are working with our NYC government partners with the goal of scheduling a new Tour date later this year. We want this to be the safest and most enjoyable Tour possible, and we appreciate your patience. More information, including options for 2020 registered Tour riders, is available here.

In response to the global coronavirus pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Bike Expo New York event on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2. We’re proud that the Expo offers cycling enthusiasts and industry innovators from around the world a rare chance to connect face to face, and we share in your disappointment in having to call this year’s event off.
