Bike Skills 101: Learn to Ride on the Spectrum - Kids & Teens
Overview
Bike Skills 101: Learn to Ride — On the Spectrum is a free group class for children and teens on the spectrum ages 5 and up who are ready to ride a two-wheeler for the first time. With our safe, easy, effective method taught by experienced instructors, participants will learn how to balance, pedal, start, stop, and steer a bicycle. Most get the hang of it in one session, but even if they don’t, parents will leave equipped with an easy, low-stress technique that will have their kids riding independently in no time. This class meets monthly at our Forest Park, Queens Education Center. Questions? Email us at classes@bike.nyc.

testimonial
This class was simply fantastic! Thank you and your instructors very much for getting my kids to ride bikes without training wheels within 10 minutes of the beginning of the class! Both kids had previously used balance bikes and then pedal bikes with training wheels but your method supported their experience and they came out of the class as true bike riders.
