Getting There by Train
On the day of the ride, Metro-North Railroad extends the courtesy of suspending its bicycle permit requirements. Nevertheless, space for bikes is limited according to the conductor’s discretion and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. See the table below to determine which train you should take in order to arrive at Waryas Park in the start window for your chosen mileage option.
Note that cyclists riding the 100-mile route must drive to Poughkeepsie on the morning of the ride or arrive the night before—there are no trains that leave early enough to accommodate 100-milers.
|Mileage Option||Start Window||Train departs from Grand Central Terminal||Train arrives at Poughkeepsie Station|
