Getting There by Train

UPDATE FOR 15- AND 33-MILE RIDERS:  Metro North has added a train at 7:15 AM for cyclists, arriving in Poughkeepsie at 9:15 AM. This train will be dedicated to cyclists and will hold approximately 140 riders with bikes.

For the 6:45AM train, the two front cars will be dedicated to cyclists and their bikes, with up to 20 bikes per car. The remaining five cars are limited to two bikes per car.

Train crews will be directing all riders with bikes to the northern part of the platforms to board. We strongly advise riders to purchase tickets in advance.

Note that cyclists riding the 100 or 75-mile routes must drive to Poughkeepsie on the morning of the ride or arrive the night before—there are no trains that leave early enough to accommodate 100 or 75-milers.
